"You can't take Christ out of Christmas"

I posted on my blog a commentary by CNN.com's Roland Martin a few months back about how marriage needs to become a priority of our nation. Like I said in that post, I prefer Fox News to CNN, however I am becoming quite the fan of Mr. Martin.

My future job

When my good friend becomes President (you know who you are), I hope that he will give me this guy's job. I am positive I could excel in this position.

Armed Forces Bowl

In my effort to attend a college football bowl game this year, I have resorted to going to the Armed Forces Bowl in Ft. Worth on Dec. 31. The game is between Air Force and California. This is certainly not a top tier bowl game, but when the tickets cost $15, it's tough to pass up. So when you tune into the Armed Forces Bowl (I know you all will), I'll be sitting in the South End Zone, Row 18, with my Iowa Hawkeye gear on.

Please Hawkeyes, let this be true...

Flyin' with the Blue Angels

This should give you an amazing appreciation for our military pilots and what it is like to be flying a fighter jet. This video shows what happens when an ordinary guy goes up for a flight with the Blue Angels. If I had a chance to do this, I would jump at it. Scene 1 and Scene 2 are quite funny.

Interesting article on how Clemens is now no different than Bonds. The "best" hitter and pitcher over the last 25 years (maybe in baseball history?) are now nothing more but the games best cheaters...

The Mitchell Report

The Mitchell Report came out this last week and named a whole bunch of MLB players that are linked to steroids or HGH over the past years. Names such as Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, Miguel Tejada, etc. are a few of the big names. Since the report has come out, some of the players that were named have come out and admitted to their use of one of the substances. So far this is my favorite:

If what I did was an error in judgment on my part, I apologize," Pettitte said Saturday in a statement released by his agent. "I accept responsibility for those two days."

Is he really taking responsibility? Read again what he said, "If what I did was an error in judgement on my part..." If???? Come on Pettitte...
