Last night 2 of my good friends and I went to LoneStar Park here in Grand Prairie for a night of horse racing. This was the first time that I had ever went and done something like this and it was awesome. Not only was it a challenge trying to pick the right horses, but the races themselves were intense and exciting. Unlike the Kentucky Derby, these races were 330-400 yard sprints between 7-10 horses. Let me tell you, those horses are incredible animals and fast!! One of the coolest parts of each race was the rumbling of the hoves as the horses got closer to where you were sitting and then through the finish line. Didn't hurt when you bet right too.
