I am sitting in a hotel room in Amarillo tonight, so I thought I would share some thoughts about this town which is located in the Panhandle of Texas.
1. Think of the flatest place you have ever been...Amarillo beats it.
2. The wind never stops blowing. Never.
3. Dust, dust, and more dust.
4. Prairie dogs are everywhere outside of town...I am going to try and catch one.
5. Did I mention how flat it is here?
Ahhh Amarillo...on the bright side there is a steakhouse here in town that has a steak called the Big Texan. If you eat the whole thing, it's free...the steak is 72 oz.

by prairie dogs, do you mean hyenas? if so, you should leave the amarillo area. ive been watching the planet earth dvds and those things will mess you up.
Flat forever? I have no doubt, but spent short time in eastern North Dakota and it was mind blowingly flat.....for what it's worth. 10-4 on the prairie dogs, I hear they are good eatin'
dude i lived there. and 1- they have the sweetest canyon about 2 secs away.. you missed out! :)
