Foo Fighters

I have always been a big Foo Fighters fan, but for some reason I have very little of their music on my IPod or CD. Last night, I decided enough was enough and purchased a bunch of Foo Fighter music. Man these guys just plain rock. I really think that they are one of the few true rock bands out there right now. Their latest single, "Long Way to Ruin" is just great and once again...straight up rock. Just how I like it. If you are a Foo fan, you know what I am talking. If you are interested in other "rock bands" aka Nickelback (I know you love them Susi), get with the program.

Amarillo...Day 2

Well, I got back at about 7:30 tonight from Amarillo, which would be 1.5 hours later than I was suppose to. Why might you ask? The weather today in Amarillo decided to be 28 degrees with fog, sleet, and even some snow. So I boarded the plane at 5:00 (which was on time) and then sat there for the next 45 minutes while some idiot Texan tried to figure out how to de-ice the plane.

Thanks Amarillo...I shall never return.

The horizon goes forever...

I am sitting in a hotel room in Amarillo tonight, so I thought I would share some thoughts about this town which is located in the Panhandle of Texas.

1. Think of the flatest place you have ever been...Amarillo beats it.
2. The wind never stops blowing. Never.
3. Dust, dust, and more dust.
4. Prairie dogs are everywhere outside of town...I am going to try and catch one.
5. Did I mention how flat it is here?

Ahhh Amarillo...on the bright side there is a steakhouse here in town that has a steak called the Big Texan. If you eat the whole thing, it's free...the steak is 72 oz.

Daytona 500

I am not a NASCAR junkie but I enjoy watching NASCAR from time to time. It is pretty incredible to watch these guys race around a track at speeds of 200 mph within inches of one another. So I tuned in for the last 50 laps or so of the Daytona 500 today and almost had to turn it off. Why? Well, it is offical that NASCAR announcers are the most annoying announcers in any sport, period. These guys said "Yeeeehaw here they come!" every other sentence. Good Lord I wanted to jab my eyes out.

Ahhh the flu...

I have been stuck at home this entire week with the flu. Fortuantely, I am feeling much better today and should be back to work on Monday. Anyways, here are some thoughts of mine after being stuck at home all week.

1. Naps are good.
2. I tried to catch up on some reading, but after many attempts of reading a few pages and then realizing I don't remember a single word I just read, I gave up.
3. There is absolutely no TV on during the day...unless you like "World's Greatest Police Chases" (which I am watching right now)
4. Our furniture is comfortable.
5. Naps are real good.
