First of all, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year.
Second, here is what I am dealing with right now at 1:15 on New Years Day:
Cotton Bowl: Missouri vs Arkansas (blowout right now)
Capital One Bowl: Michigan vs Florida
Gator Bowl: Texas Tech vs Virigina (who cares)
Outback Bowl: Wisconsin vs Tennessee
and then you throw in the NHL Winter Classic of Pittsburgh vs Buffalo. This game is the first NHL game in history to be played outdoors in the United States...pretty cool.
I love New Years Day. Valerie, are the lil smokies ready yet!!!

I didn't get to watch one football game yesterday ... sadly, I didn't even know who was playing who. No couch, no chips and salsa, no hangin' with the guys, no football marathon.
In fact, driving back from Des Moines last night, it hit me, "Holy smokes ... it's New Year's Day!" What a downer to realize you just missed one of the best days of the year after it's too late to do anything about it!
Maybe next year ... as we're preparing for the Inaugeration of Mike Huckabee!
As far as this year, Jer, I hope you had enough fun for both of us ... wish I coulda been there!
